Holistic Approach Series:
Meridians
What is Meridian Therapy?
Meridian Therapy is a treatment method that balances the body’s energy channels, known as meridians, allowing energy to flow freely throughout the body. This supports physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Meridian Therapy is a non-pharmacological method derived from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Its foundations come from TCM, which has, for thousands of years, recognized specific points and areas along the body’s energy channels that can be stimulated through touch, tapping, massage, heat, electricity, or magnets.
As TCM teaches:
"Through the meridians, what happens inside is visible outside, and what is done outside affects the inside."
Meridians
Meridians are pathways that carry energy into and out of the body. They also distribute energy to the organs. Along the surface of our skin, there are hundreds of tiny reservoirs of heat, electromagnetic, and subtle energy.
There are 14 main meridians in the body:
-
Conception Meridian
-
Governing Meridian
-
Stomach Meridian
-
Spleen Meridian
-
Heart Meridian
-
Small Intestine Meridian
-
Bladder Meridian
